Kling AI Pricing Explained: Plans, the Kling 4.0 API and Pay per Second

What Kling AI costs in October 2026: Kling's own monthly plans and credits, the Kling 4.0 API price ($0.14/s at 720p, $0.21/s at 1080p, still Coming Soon), and how per-second pricing works on this site.

There are three ways to pay for Kling video today: Kuaishou's own Kling AI plans, Kuaishou's developer API, and third-party sites like this one that run Kling 4.0 for you. They price very differently. Here's each one, with sources, checked on October 25, 2026.

1. Kling AI's own plans (kling.ai)

Kling AI sells monthly memberships that come with credits. Kuaishou's July 2026 credit guide listed:

PlanList price per monthCredits per month
BasicFreeNo monthly credits
Standard$10 (first month $6.99)660
Pro$37 (first month $25.99)3,000
Premier$92 (first month $64.99)8,000
Ultra$180 (first month $127.99)26,000

Points worth knowing, from Kling's credits policy and plan pages:

  • Subscription credits last one month. Credits bought separately or from promotions don't depend on the membership.
  • Extra credits are priced at $1 = 66 credits as standard.
  • Paid features. 1080p video, watermark removal, fast-track generation and video extension are membership features. Free exports carry a watermark, and the Basic plan's output is not for commercial use.
  • Prices change. Since Kling 4.0 launched, the membership page advertises new subscription tiers and launch discounts, so check the membership page for today's numbers.

How many credits a Kling 4.0 video costs inside the app depends on length, resolution and mode, and is shown in the app before you generate. We didn't find a published per-second table for 4.0, so we don't quote one.

Best for: people who make Kling videos every week and want the full feature set: 4K, up to 10 keyframes, elements, editing.

2. The official Kling 4.0 API

Kling's API pricing page bills in units; 1 unit is $0.14 at list price. Kling 4.0 is listed as Coming Soon, with preview prices:

Kling 4.0 API720p1080p
No video input (per output second)1.0 unit ≈ $0.141.5 units ≈ $0.21
With a reference video0.6 unit ≈ $0.0840.9 unit ≈ $0.126

With a reference video, the billed seconds are output × 2 when the input is no longer than the output, or input + output when it's longer. Kling's API changelog says 4.0 is in early access; the page notes that its standard prepaid packages (from $700 for 5,000 units, valid 180 days) don't cover Kling 4.0 yet, and early access goes through a business inquiry.

Best for: developers and companies building their own product at volume. At list price this is the cheapest way to buy Kling 4.0 seconds, but you need an API integration and a business account.

3. Pay per second on this site

This site runs Kling 4.0 through a commercial API and sells one-time credit packs. No subscription, and purchased credits don't expire.

PackPriceCredits
Starter$9.99300
Creator$29.991,000
Studio$69.992,500

A video costs its length × the per-second rate:

ResolutionCredits per second5 s video10 s video30 s video
720P22110220660
1080P33165330990

In dollars that's about $0.62–$0.73 a second at 720P and $0.92–$1.10 at 1080P, depending on the pack. A 5-second 720P clip is about $3.66 from the Starter pack and $3.08 from the Studio pack.

Reference videos follow the same rule as Kling's API: you pay the output seconds plus the longer of the output or the video, at 14 credits a second at 720P (20 at 1080P). A 10-second 720P clip with a 6-second reference video is (10 + 10) × 14 = 280 credits; with a 20-second reference video it's (10 + 20) × 14 = 420. Reference images are free.

Also included:

  • Your first video is free. A new account gets 110 credits, one 5-second 720P video, valid for 30 days.
  • Failed renders cost nothing. Credits go back automatically.
  • No watermark, commercial use allowed, at both resolutions.
  • The exact price is on the Generate button before you start.

What you don't get here: 4K, HDR, keyframes beyond first and last, elements, editing or extension past 30 seconds.

Best for: occasional use, trying Kling 4.0 without a subscription or API work, and 1080P without a membership.

Which is cheapest?

Per second, the official API has the lowest list price — if you can get access and build on it. A Kling AI membership is likely to work out cheaper than pay-as-you-go if you generate every month; check the app's credit cost for Kling 4.0 before you subscribe. A pay-per-second site makes sense when you generate now and then, want to know the price of each clip up front, or don't want a recurring plan.

See the pricing page for the live rates, or make your first video free.
