Kling AI, explained
Kling AI is the AI video and image platform of Kuaishou Technology, and the name of its family of video models. Kling O1 (December 2025) brought generation and editing into one model; Kling 3.0 (early 2026) added native audio and clips up to 15 seconds. Kling 4.0, open to everyone since October 15, 2026, makes up to 30 seconds in one pass, with stereo sound and Omni Reference.
On Kling V4 AI you run Kling 4.0 in the browser: pick text, image (first and last frame) or reference mode, set the length, resolution and shape, and see the exact price before you generate. There's no plan to choose and no monthly allowance to use up.
You pay per second of video with one-time credit packs — 300 credits cost $9.99 — and every failed render goes straight back to your balance.
Kling is a trademark of Kuaishou Technology. Kling V4 AI is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Kuaishou.

Kling AI questions
Kling AI is Kuaishou's AI video and image platform at kling.ai, and the name of its video models — Kling O1, Kling 3.0, Kling 4.0 and others. Kling 4.0 is the newest.
No. Kling V4 AI is an independent site that runs Kling 4.0 through a commercial API. Kling is a trademark of Kuaishou Technology; the official app is at kling.ai.
Your first video is free: a new account gets 110 credits, one 5-second Kling 4.0 video at 720P. After that, the smallest pack is 300 credits for $9.99, and failed renders cost nothing. Kling's own app also has a free plan; its free exports carry a watermark.
Kling 4.0 (also written Kling V4), the full model — not Kling 4.0 Flash, the faster 720p tier. Older versions such as Kling 3.0 aren't offered.
Same Kling 4.0 model, a different way to pay: buy credits once, pay per second, and see the price before each render, with no watermark on the MP4. Kling's app does more — 4K, up to 10 keyframes, elements and video editing — on monthly plans.
Yes, the videos you make are yours to use, as long as your prompt and files don't infringe anyone's rights. See the terms for details.
